D Day

Well, today turned out to be decision day about baby Jeremiah. I received an e-mail yesterday from our worker saying that she thought the birth mother would make her decision on Monday or Wednesday, but today when the birth mother met with her worker she was able to narrow down the home studies/profiles from 7 to 2. We just weren't one of the two. It is disappointing and kind of sad. We were very excited that someone was even looking at our home study, and we kept imagining what Jeremiah looked like. It just wasn't meant to be. We wish Jeremiah, his birth family, and future adoptive family all the best in the days, months, and years to come.
