Family Christmas Card 2012

We decided to go the electronic route for our Christmas Card this year. We are also dispensing with our Family Newsletter. If you want to keep up with our family make sure to add us on Facebook. I am always posting pictures and updates, and of course you can follow this blog as well. I am not as great about updating this, but I do from time to time. I try anyway, and of course you can e-mail or call us to check in at anytime.

A few highlights from 2012

- Rob parted ways with Tech Electronics, and started a new job at Convergint Technologies. He hasn't been there long. In fact, he flies to Chicago for his orientation next week, but he has been pleased with everyone that he has interviewed with. The offer was a good one, and we are very hopeful about this job for him. It seems like a much more friendly, honest, group of people. Rob also teaches Jacqui's Sunday School class at church. He loves having the opportunity to work with her.

- I started a new job as well, as a therapist at Midwest Behavioral Health. It is a private practice, and so far I love it! I also passed my comprehensive exam, and I will begin working on my doctoral dissertation in January. Wish me luck! :)

-Cody played football again this year, and his team made it to the State Championship Game. He was able to play on the field at the Edward Jones Dome. What a neat experience that was! It was his High School's first ever time making it to State, so it was fun to be a part of that. Track will begin for him this Spring. Cody is enjoying school and keeping up with church and with Scouting. He was also called as President of the Teacher's Quorum, and will begin working on his Eagle Project this Spring (perhaps Winter, if this warm weather continues).

-Jacqui is in 6th grade now; this is her first year in Middle School. She has really enjoyed the transition, and she is doing very well in school. She made the Honor Roll. She also participates in choir. We just saw her first choir concert this week, in fact. She did a fabulous job, and she looked lovely. Jacqui also enjoys participating in Activity Girls, and is excited to start Young Women's in February.

-Carissa is in 2nd grade. She enjoys school, and she does well in school as well. She participates in Girl Scouts. The troop has taken a while to get started this year, but they should begin meeting more regularly in January. Carissa will turn 8 in April, and she will be baptized. She will also get to attend Activity Girls, which she is excited about.

-Clark is in Kindergarten, and that has been a bit of an adjustment for all of us. More so for me than for anyone else. It was hard to have my youngest start school full-time, but Clark enjoys school for the most part, and kids do have to grow up sometime. :) I haven't figured out a way to slow that process down yet. If any of you have please let me in on your secret. Clark is still a bundle of energy, but a loving ball of energy! He is a joy to all of us.

There is so much more that we have done this year, but these are just a few highlights. We hope that this holiday season finds all of you happy and healthy! We send love to you all!!!

Love,
Lynette
